Labour Contractor

In 1979 Western was appointed labour contractor by Univar Canada Ltd. for its modern bulk liquid storage and distribution facility adjacent to Lynnterm. This responsibility involves the provision and supervision of labour including the establishment of work rules and training programs. This involved the introduction of waterfront personnel to the technology and work practices required to operate this sophisticated facility in a safe and efficient manner to meet the stringent standards established by Univar for their operations.
