General Policy
Western Stevedoring is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the public impacted by our operations and services. We are also committed to ensuring that our Lynnterm, Ogden Point and Cowichan Bay Terminals comply with the applicable safety regulations and security provisions, as determined by Federal Legislation and the ISPS Code.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Visitors to our terminal require the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- CSA-approved boots

High-visibility vest
CSA-approved hard hats are required for those visiting vessels. Western Stevedoring does not typically provide PPE for use by visitors to our facilities.
Site Orientation
To ensure all visitors are aware of emergency procedures and site-specific hazards, Western Stevedoring provides site safety orientations.
The Lynnterm safety orientation is available through our online Computer-Based Training (CBT) system. This training may be taken either using our onsite computers (available on a first-come, first-served basis) or another Internet-enabled computer.
Most people complete the orientation within 20 to 30 minutes. Contact [email protected] to obtain Lynnterm CBT access details.
