Ensuring Safety

Ensuring workplace safety is a continuous process that requires teamwork from everyone in the workplace: from workers and supervisors to management and visitors.


A key part of this process is compliance with the appropriate regulations, specifically:

  • Canada Labour Code, Part II: 124: “Every employer shall ensure that the health and safety at work of every person employed by the employer is protected”.
  • Canada Labour Code, Part II: 125: This section prescribes additional specific duties for which the employer is responsible, and extends the Code to encompass additional workers on sites controlled by the employer.
